The event will feature selected artifacts found in the Village’s 1974 50th Anniversary time capsule, along with photographs, documents, music and other memorabilia from the era.

*A video loop featuring Greenwood Lake scenes from the 1970s
*Background popular music from the decade
*Displays featuring selected artifacts found in the Village’s 1974 50th Anniversary Time Capsule, along with photographs, documents, music and other 70’s memorabilia, submitted or on loan, from village residents and others
*Stories from community members and 1974 time capsule artifact donors
* Fun “Name That Artifact” and “Best 70s Attired Guests” Contests (70s Attire Optional!)

*Centennial Park Paver Project Information
*GWL Historical Society merchandise, raffles, membership information and more

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROJECT
Help us bring the memories of Greenwood Lake’s vibrant history in the 70’s decade, from its bustling bar and music scene to the Village and Fire Department’s 50th anniversary celebrations, back to life at our GREENWOOD LAKE: THANKS FOR THE SEVENTIES reception on Sunday, November 8th.
We are seeking photos, documents, home movies, digitized audio and memorabilia including posters, yearbooks, restaurant menus, matchbooks, event programs, local event imprinted t-shirts, china etc. to include in our presentation and displays.
